RockStar:INXS - The best part of watching is the Wednesday show when they sing INXS songs. I love it when they do anything from Listen Like Thieves and earlier.
David Allen: Getting Things Done - I read this once before and tried a few of the suggestions, but eventually went back to my old time management system. I guess I wasn't ready then, because now, I think it is the greatest thing since slice bread!

Went out for my last "long run" before the Top of Utah Marathon. I felt really good for the first part, then I got the signs of a migraine headache. I said a little prayer and pushed on. Before I knew it, I had my sight back and was really enjoying the run. I found a perfect road that apparently a lot of other runners knew about too. In fact, one runner struck up a conversation with me. I was suprised at how much I enjoyed talking with someone while running. Usually, I've enjoyed my runs for the solitary aspect of it, but I guess after 2 hours of running by yourself, it's nice to have a little company.
On my way back home, my knee began given me troubles and without running to keep my mind off of it, my migraine headach began to give me trouble. Fortunately, my neighbor, Erik, was returning from a getting a haircut, saw me walking on the side of the road, and took pity on me. I was pretty lucky not having to walk the 4 or so miles back home.

Will it ever end???

We are coming down the final stretch of finishing our basement. We are in the middle of painting and although I wish it was going quicker than it is and that I had more time to work on it than I do, I am getting really excited. Right now, we are just painting the ceiling an off-white color, but even that is getting me thinking all creative like. When we finally put some color on the walls, my mind will start racing. We haven't even finished the basement and I am ready to start painting other rooms in the house. Once the basement is done, we will be able to purge and organize and decorate. Hmmm, decorate our house. What a novel idea after living here for 5+ years.

Today I started my 16 week training schedule to prepare myself for my first marathon. Liam went with me in the stroller. I'm excited to see if I can do this.

Yesterday was Liam's big day out with Thomas the Tank Engine. Liam and I got a nice tan. Brek and Cooper got a nice burn. The highlight for Liam (I think) was riding on Thomas. He had an ear to ear smile almost the entire time. The highlight for me was watch Liam. It was great watching him enjoy himself. I really enjoyed watching him while he played with the wooden Thomas train table. He gets down do he is eye level with the tracks and the level of focus and concentration he exhibits is really neat.

One of Liam's obsessions right now is Thomas the Tank Engine. It amazes me how he knows the names of all 6 billion of the engines on the Island of Sodor.

Today, Brek pointed out that Thomas the Tank Engine will be visiting the Heber Valley Railroad. While he is there, he will be giving rides. There will music, games, etc. The entire time is was reading about this, all I could see was the face of a little boy so excited that he would not be able to stand it.

As I thought more about it during the afternoon and on the way home from work, it made me realize that this is what the joy of parenting is really all about. The joy that comes from seeing your children happy, excited, and passionate.

I can't hardly wait!

Television: Scrubs (the first season comes out on DVD 17 May!!!), Lost, the Contender, and Project Greenlight. I think I'll add Alias back to the list only because of the last few episodes. Season 4 has not been my favorite, but JJ Abrahms seems to have a master plan.

Music: Jack Johnson - In Between Dreams, Garden State Soundtrack, Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, Green Day - American Idiot

Brek has been addicted to the blogs of her scrapbooking idols for the past few weeks and I'll admit that I've checked them out when she is still logged into the computer. There is something interesting about reading about someone else's life.
With that, I'm entering the world of blogging. I don't know how much I'll have to say or how often I'll say it, but ... what the hey.
